Statistics are alarming, with approximately 60 elephants being killed each day for their tusks, which are often crafted into jewelry and ornaments. Despite a ban on international ivory trade in the United States, the nation remains the second-largest market for ivory globally, trailing only behind China.

The primary objective of i of the Elephant is to encourage ethical practices among sellers and to assist consumers in identifying environmentally responsible retailers. User-submitted reports and photographs can be forwarded to wildlife authorities for further investigation, thereby enhancing the collective fight against illegal poaching.

This community-focused platform provides users with the opportunity to make a significant impact on elephant conservation efforts, as without proactive measures, wild elephants face an alarming risk of extinction during our lifetime.
